NDGS IS PROUD TO PROVIDE THE TOWN OF MIDWAY WITH WASTE & RECYCLING COLLECTION BEGINNING MAY 1, 2026

MIDWAY RESIDENTS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH ONE (1) WASTE AND ONE (1) RECYCLING CONTAINER BY MAY 1, 2026.
To request additional containers, please read below.

WHAT'S INCLUDED?

One (1) waste container, and one (1) recycling container, collected each week with our BROWN containers, is provided by the Town of Midway to all residents. Additional containers are available by request and automatic payment is collected for the additional containers through our app every 3 months by subscription renewal. Pricing for an additional waste container(s) is $5 per month. There is no extra cost for additional recycle containers and are included (but optional) with each waste container requested. To request additional containers, please download our app on May 1st, 2026, select the preferred plan option, add your payment method and then click Pay Now.

APP INFORMATION + MORE

To use the Midway Portal in our app, you must have a smart (mobile or tablet) device and live within the Township of Midway. Our app is available to the Town of Midway residents to make requests and communication easy for the services we provide. From within the app, you can pay for additional containers, message with us or schedule a special collection. The app is available here: Apple® and Google Play® Stores. PLEASE NOTE: The app is not required! It is available for communication and additional services to the Town of Midway residents.

We accept electronic payment through the app and can also accept payment by mail with request. You’re invited to connect and engage with us on our facebook and instagram pages!

A collection day will be noted on a sticker and attached to the containers that are delivered. Containers need to be placed at the curbside the night before collection day. CONTAINERS

If you have containers that say NDGS on them and are not brown (and are either green or blue)… NDGS no longer owns them. NDGS cannot collect from them or remove them. Unfortunately, they are no longer our property and are used by another company for service. Please move them to the curbside.

What do you take in recycling?

We collect a variety of recyclable materials including paper, cardboard, aluminum, metal, tin, steel, cartons, and 1-7 plastics. If you have something that is questionably recyclable, please do not put it in the recycling bin. (See next question) Please ensure recyclables are clean and emptied before discarding. Your recycling will be picked up at a different time than your garbage, but on the same day.

RECYCLING CAN CONTAIN:

  • Paper products (shredded paper—only if it is in clear bags)
  • Aluminum cans
  • Plastic containers
  • Glass bottles
  • Metal
  • Aseptic cartons
  • Cardboard (if large, please break down and sit under or beside bin)
  • Aerosol cans can be taken if they are empty and do NOT contain the orange hazard symbol
  • Magazines and phone books
  • Junk mail

RECYCLING CANNOT CONTAIN:

  • Styrofoam anything
  • Food waste and residue
  • Loose, shredded paper (see above)
  • Liquids
  • Hazardous products (baby diapers, rest room waste, deceased animals, etc.)
