WHAT'S INLCUDED?
One container, one collection per week with one of our BROWN containers, costs only $7. We collect payment for service through our app every two weeks by subscription renewal. We also offer annual subscription payment and renewal as well. Recycling is optional, but is also included with a provided container. This collection will be made on a certain day, depending on your location. Other plans are available based on the amount of waste containers you need, providing a discount for multiple containers at one location.
Plan 1 ~ $7 per week
1 waste + 1 recycling container at ONE location (charges $14 every two weeks)
Plan 2 ~ $12 per week
2 waste + up to 2 recycling containers at ONE location (charges $24 every two weeks)
Plan 3 ~ $18 per week
3 waste + up to 3 recycling containers at ONE location (charges $36 every two weeks)
Plan 4 ~ $23 per week
4 waste + up to 4 recycling containers at ONE location (charges $46 every two weeks)

HOW DO I START?
To get started, you must have a mobile device and a residence within our pick up area. Our app is available in the Apple® and Google Play® Stores. As soon as you enter a payment method and click PAY NOW, your service has begun. Please make sure you’re ready to start with us when you pay. A delayed start is not recommended. Within 24 hours, you’ll be notified–in the app through our message system–please stay logged in with notifications on—of your service day and collection information. Then, cart(s) will be delivered based on the subscription plan you signed up for. Payment of your subscription will occur every two weeks or annually depending on your plan preferences.
Currently, we only accept electronic payment through the app but plan to accept payments by mail in the near future. We’ve expanded our pick up area! So follow along on our facebook and instagram pages to see the announcement.

Payment & Signup: How It Works

How can I contact customer service?
You can reach our customer service team through our NDGS App messaging system or on our website by live chat. We’re available during our business hours (9 am – 3 pm) and we’re happy to assist with any inquiries or issues you may have. Please allow up to 24 business hours during the week. You’re also welcome to email us.
Can I use my own containers for collection?
No. We will only pick up BROWN North Davidson Garbage Service provided containers.
Can I add another service location?
Yes! Go to your “Locations” tab on the left-hand menu and you can add another subscription. Once the new location is saved and selected, click on “Subscriptions” in the left-hand menu to select a new subscription and pay. You’re also able to add a different payment method for the new loaction’s plan! If you have trouble with this, please feel free to reach out by in-app messages, online chat or email.
How do I cancel my service?
If you’re moving and would like to transfer your service, please send us a message through the messages at least 48 hours before your next scheduled pickup to ensure your collection at your new address. We can transfer your containers and keep your service intact as long as you’re in our collection area. To stop completely, please click on the “CANCEL” button under your current subscription. Containers need to be placed at the curbside for collection.
Do you collect recyclable materials?
Yes! We collect a variety of recyclable materials including paper, cardboard, aluminum, metal, tin, steel, cartons, and 1-7 plastics. If you have something that is questionably recyclable, please do not put it in the recycling bin. (See next question) Please ensure recyclables are clean and emptied before discarding. Your recycling will be picked up at a different time than your garbage, but on the same day.
RECYCLING CAN CONTAIN:
- Paper products (shredded paper—only if it is in clear bags)
- Aluminum cans
- Plastic containers
- Glass bottles
- Metal
- Aseptic cartons
- Cardboard (if large, please break down and sit under or beside bin)
- Aerosol cans can be taken if they are empty and do NOT contain the orange hazard symbol
- Magazines and phone books
- Junk mail
RECYCLING CANNOT CONTAIN:
- Styrofoam anything
- Food waste and residue
- Loose, shredded paper (see above)
- Liquids
- Hazardous products (baby diapers, rest room waste, etc.)

What is not recyclable, or falls into the items you can't collect?
We do not collect hazardous waste at all (paint, chemicals, etc.), electronics, tires, or construction debris. None of the following items are accepted in our waste or recycling colleciton service. Items will be left at the curbside.
- Liquids of any kind (includes paint)
- Electronics; computers or phones
- Tube-style TVs (banned from the landfill; must be dropped at designated areas)
- Hazardous products or human/animal waste
- Used motor oil (may ONLY be dropped off at our Recycling Facility for FREE)
- Yard waste (grass, tree limbs etc.)
- Wood and construction debris
- Batteries; vehicle/rechargeable/lithium ion, etc. (batteries should be recycled at designated collection points or hazardous waste facilities to prevent environmental damage and potential fires)
How often is waste collected?
Our standard service (plan 1) includes weekly waste collection, with one provided waste container as well as weekly recycling collection, with one provided recycling container.
How do I dispose of large items or bulk waste?
For large or bulk waste (such as furniture or appliances), we offer special collection services. You can schedule this separately for an additional charge. These pick ups are charged according to material, size and volume. You can only request a special pick up by sending a photo through our app messaging service of what you’d like to be collected.
Do I need to separate my recyclables from my regular trash?
Yes, we ask that you separate recyclables, loose and bagless in our provided containers (orange lid cans) separated from your regular trash to ensure proper recycling. We provide bins for both trash and recyclables to make sorting easy.
What should I do if my collection is missed?
If you believe your container has been missed, please contact our customer service team through our messaging system as soon as you are aware and we will respond within 24 hours.
What services do you offer?
We provide residential and commercial garbage and recycling collection services. This includes weekly trash and curbside recycling collection.
How can I pay for my service?
We accept various payment methods, including credit/debit cards and bank draft. All payments will be made automatically once sign-up is completed. Currently, payments can only be through our app at https://NDGS.app. However, we are working on an app update that would allow us to accept mailed payments.
Do you offer discounts or promotions?
Yes. We currently offer a discount for teacher, LEO and military. You must message us in the app to receive the promotional discount.
What if there's bad weather?
If we need to operate on a delay or postpone collection due to weather, a message or notification will be sent to you through our app regarding our plans for collection.
What is your holiday schedule?
We operate every weekday except for Christmas and Thanksgiving Days. Only those days will not have collection each year. If collection falls on one of those days, it will not be made up. You will simply not get charged for the collection we didn’t make.
What if I have more than fits in my container?
We please ask that you send us a message at least 24 hours in advance, if you see you will have extra to collect.
Do you offer back door service or pick up at the home?
We’re happy to share that we do offer special service for residents who aren’t able to bring their containers to the roadside due to a disability, with a doctor’s note for verification. The only difference with this option is that recycling is not included.
If this service is needed, you can simply email us a photo of a handicap placard or a doctor’s note confirming the limitation. This does assume that no one else in the home is able to assist with moving the containers.
The pricing is the same with or without recycling.
If back door is required because a house is far off the road, and the containers cannot be brought to the road because of the steepness of the driveway or something similar to that, we would have to send someone out to assess and see if our trucks could get up to your house by way of the driveway.. we do require a private drive waiver for this situation and can let you know more about it if that is the case for your inquiry.
